Punjabi University's Parneet Kaur shines at World University Games with hat-trick of medals

Patiala (Punjab), July 28, 2025: Parneet Kaur, an archer from Punjabi University, has achieved a remarkable hat-trick of medals at the World University Games held in Germany.
She won a gold medal in the mixed doubles category, a silver medal in the women’s compound singles category, and a bronze medal in the women's team event.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh congratulated Parneet Kaur, her coach Surinder Singh Randhawa, and the entire sports department for this outstanding achievement.
He expressed pride in Parneet's performance and stated that Punjabi University has a rich legacy in sports.
He assured that the University will make every possible effort to further promote excellence in the field by creating a supportive environment for players.Dr. Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa, Director of Sports, also extended her congratulations and expressed gratitude to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh and the University authorities for their continued support of the sports department.
She shared that, so far, the Indian contingent has won a total of six medals at the World University Games, one gold, two silver, and three bronze, with Parneet Kaur alone contributing to half of this tally.
