Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University launches ‘Induction Program’ for new entrants
Ferozepur, August 1, 2025: Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, Ferozepur, launched a two-week induction program for newly admitted students of the current academic session. The program is being held under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Sushil Mittal, led by Campus Registrar Prof. Dr. Gazalpreet Singh, and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Kiranjit Kaur.
The inaugural session began with devotional singing followed by lamp lighting by the chief guest, Campus Registrar Dr. Gazalpreet Singh. Addressing the gathering, he conveyed best wishes on behalf of the Vice Chancellor and encouraged students to seize this important phase of life, full of new experiences and aspirations. Citing examples of great personalities, he inspired students to aim high, emphasizing that nothing is impossible with determination.
He also highlighted the achievements of former students who are now serving in reputed positions across the country, bringing pride to the institution and the nation. He urged the new students to maintain discipline, excel in academics, and uphold the university’s reputation.
Program Coordinator Dr. Kiranjit Kaur shared that during the two-week induction, students will benefit from expert talks on various subjects. Notable speakers include Soni Goel, alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, career counselor and motivational speaker; Ramanpreet Kaur, State Awardee and founder of Green Sparrow Project, Jalandhar; Deepak Sharma, founder of Mayank Foundation, Ferozepur and member of Punjab Road Safety Advisory Committee; Dr. Rajiv Manhas from Baba Farid University, Faridkot; and Dr. G.S. Dhillon (Retd.), expert in health and sports.
Among the prominent attendees were Dean Student Welfare Dr. Tejeet Singh, Academic Incharge Dr. Rajeev Garg, Prof. Navtej Singh Ghumman, Dr. Sunil Behl, Dr. Pankaj Kalra, Dr. Rajni, PRO Prof. Inderjit Gill, Lab Superintendent Gurpreet Singh, and a large number of faculty, staff, and students. Stage coordination was efficiently handled by Prof. Navtej Singh.
