CGC Landran signs MoU with VIT Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to advance Waste Management and Circular Economy research

Chandigarh, August 5, 2025: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VIT Engineering Pvt. Ltd. The MoU was signed by Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran and Er. Vijay Kumar Wakchaure, Founder of VIT Engineering Pvt. Ltd.
The MoU focuses on a sponsored grant of ₹ 56 lakhs dedicated to advancing research in Waste Management and Circular Economy. Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma, Dean Research, CGC Landran, will serve as the Principal Investigator for the project. Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “This collaboration highlights CGC’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and a joint commitment to drive impactful research and promote innovation. This partnership will also help us to equip our students with the skills, exposure and mindset needed to make a tangible difference in the real world.”
Wakchaure emphasized the vital need to bridge innovation with industrial applications.
Dr. Amresh Kumar, CEO, ACIC RISE Association, underscored the strategic significance of this alliance in driving joint research initiatives, mentoring startups and providing students and innovators with real-world exposure in sustainable and impactful sectors.
This partnership will enable CGC Landran to accelerate innovation, create new opportunities for knowledge exchange and strengthen the bridge between academic research and industry-driven applications.
