In Ferozepur, Railway recorded 32% Growth in freight loading in July 2025
Ferozepur, August 8, 2025: Thanks to the continuous, disciplined efforts and efficient management by the staff and officers, Ferozepur Division of Indian Railways has achieved a remarkable freight loading of 0.69 million tonnes during July 2025 (FY 2025–26), marking a 32% increase compared to the same period last year.
Ferozepur Division continues to be one of the top-performing freight loading divisions in Indian Railways. In July, the division transported essential commodities including canned food, grains, tractors, and more.
The foodgrain loading reached 0.75 million tonnes, showing a 50% rise from the same period last year. Container loading stood at 0.12 million tonnes, registering a 20% increase, while 24 rakes of tractors were loaded—about 26% higher than last year. The division also operated 45 long-haul trains to optimize freight movement.
Under piecemeal traffic, 9 rakes were loaded in July alone, benefiting small traders who are now able to send their goods across regions using railway services.
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar stated that these achievements reflect the division’s continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and adoption of modern management systems in the freight sector. He reiterated the commitment of the division to maintain this level of excellence in the future as well.
