Child begging checked in Ferozepur under 'Jeevanjot 2.0' Project: No cases found
Ferozepur, August 5, 2025: As part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to protect children's rights under the ‘Jeevanjot 2.0’ project, a joint checking drive was conducted by the District Child Protection Unit, Childline, and the Police Department at various locations in Ferozepur district.
The inspection covered areas such as the Mallanwala Khas market, bus stand, railway station, Baba Pal Mandir area in Ferozepur city, and multiple locations in Guruharsahai. During the checking, no instances of child begging were found.
Present during the drive were Seema Rani (Organisational Child Protection Officer), Jaswinder Kaur (Non-Organisational Child Protection Officer), along with Payal, Sukhpreet Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, and representatives from the police department.
