Kejriwal’s ‘Sheesh Mahal’ in Chandigarh? BJP demands answers from CM Mann

Chandigarh, October 31, 2025:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has come under fresh political fire after Punjab BJP Working President Ashwani Sharma demanded an explanation over reports that a government bungalow in Chandigarh’s Sector-2, allotted under the Chief Minister’s quota, has been renovated as a new “Sheesh Mahal” for Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Sharma, in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), said the issue has now transcended Punjab and is resonating in Delhi as well.
Citing AAP’s own Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal’s revelations, Sharma launched a direct attack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, questioning the use of public resources for what he described as “personal luxury.”
“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ji, is it true that the Sector-2 bungalow allotted to you under your CM quota has been renovated as a new ‘Sheesh Mahal’ for Arvind Kejriwal? The people of Punjab deserve to know the truth about this,” Sharma wrote.
The BJP leader alleged that, similar to the controversy surrounding Kejriwal’s alleged “Sheesh Mahal” residence in Delhi, a parallel situation appears to be unfolding in Punjab. Sharma accused the AAP leadership of misusing public funds for personal comfort and demanded a clear clarification from Chief Minister Mann on the matter.
