Chandigarh, November 8, 2025: In a major boost for horticulture farmers, the Haryana Government has introduced new provisions to promote the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, and aromatic plants. The initiative aims to encourage farmers to adopt diversified and integrated farming models under the state’s horticulture development programmes.
A spokesperson of the Horticulture Department shared that the schemes include financial assistance for setting up new fruit orchards, integrated vegetable cultivation, spice and aromatic plant farming, and flower cultivation.
Under these schemes, farmers will receive subsidies ranging from ₹24,500 to ₹1,40,000 per acre for planting new fruit orchards, while ₹15,000 per acre will be provided for vegetable cultivation under the integrated model. For Scheduled Caste farmers, this amount will be ₹25,500 per acre.
In the case of spice cultivation, the subsidy will range from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 per acre, for flower cultivation ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 per acre, and for aromatic plants ₹8,000 per acre.
The subsidy will be directly transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts, with benefits available for up to a maximum of five acres per farmer.
Farmers interested in availing the benefits can register on the ‘Meri Fasal, Mera Byora’ or HortNet Portal at hortnet.hortharyana.gov.in.
