Chandigarh, November 10, 2025: Massive protest of students in Panjab University demanding Senate polls is slated for today even as University administration deployed heavy police force in campus as well as on all three entry points of the university.
All major political parties of the state have announced their participation in today’s student protest.
It is worth mentioning here that Ministry of Education Union government was forced to withdraw its notification changing status of Senate as well as Syndicate of the University after a storm of protests by students and political parties and social organisations of the state.
