Chandigarh, November 15, 2025 — In a significant boost to local healthcare infrastructure, the Punjab Cabinet has approved the creation of 51 new posts across multiple cadres to fully functionalize the upcoming 30-bedded Community Health Centre (CHC) at Doraha.
The sanctioned posts include 11 doctors, 2 Group B officials, 30 pharmacists, nurses and clerical staff, and 8 ward attendants and sweepers, ensuring that the hospital is equipped with a complete, fully staffed team before opening its doors to the public.
Officials said the move will greatly benefit residents of Doraha and nearby villages, who will soon have access to quality medical facilities closer to home. The strengthened workforce is expected to reduce patient load on nearby district hospitals and improve timely access to essential healthcare.
