Ferozepur (Punjab), November 16, 2025: The border city of Ferozepur in Punjab is reeling under a wave of fear as miscreants carried out the second firing incident within 24 hours, openly challenging law and order. The latest attack has deepened the sense of panic among residents.
The incident took place this morning near Bagdadi Gate. The victim, a young man named Kapil, had left home to get his Activa scooter serviced.
While on his way, two suspects riding another Activa began following him. They intercepted his vehicle, picked a quarrel, and suddenly opened fire.
Kapil sustained a gunshot wound as a bullet pierced through his calf. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors have declared him out of danger.
This marks the second shooting in the city within a single day. On Saturday night, gunfire had erupted in Mochi Bazaar, spreading alarm among locals. The back-to-back incidents have left the community on edge.
Police have launched an intensive investigation and are conducting raids to apprehend the culprits.
SSP said, the teams are working day and night and assured to nab the accused and strict action as per the law but residents demand stronger measures to restore peace in the city.
