Udham Singh Shaheed Skill Development and Entrepreneurship University to become India’s first blockchain-enabled, AI-driven campus
First Academic Session to Begin in July 2026

Mohali (Punjab), November 24, 2025: The Governing Council of the Kamboj Foundation has announced that the upcoming Udham Singh Shaheed Skill Development and Entrepreneurship University in Punjab will be India’s first blockchain-based university equipped with a fully AI-empowered campus.
The announcement was made during the Council’s first official meeting held on November 20, 2025, at the Punjab Mandi Board Conference Hall in Mohali.
The meeting, chaired by Founder Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, was attended by 21 Governing Council members. Following the meeting, members visited the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, for a special interactive session.
Dr. Kaura informed attendees that, after reviewing several government and private “ready-to-move” campuses, the Governing Council unanimously agreed to select a privately owned site for establishing the new university. Emphasizing the institution’s futuristic vision, he stated that the university will focus on equipping young people with advanced skills to boost employability in India and globally. The first academic session is scheduled to commence in July 2026.
The University Act Draft Committee, led by Dr. V. R. Kamboj, Vice Chancellor of Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar, presented the draft Act during the meeting. The committee comprises former judges, education experts, and senior administrators. The draft received unanimous approval from the Council. The Legal Committee headed by Shri P. P. Singh (Retired Sessions Judge) also shared key recommendations.
Tejinder Kaur Thind, Vice President of the Punjab Press Club and Governing Council Member, presented a proposal to establish Kamboj Media to enhance communication and outreach for the Kamboj Foundation. The proposal was unanimously approved.
The Finance Committee—led by Vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh Dhot, Treasurer Palwinder Singh Jammu, and Dubai-based finance expert Parminder Singh Chatrath—presented the budget and a fundraising strategy to mobilize ₹500 crore
. The plan received full endorsement from the Council. Shri Chatrath highlighted the immense potential of blockchain technology in transforming the job landscape and emphasized the university’s role in creating high-quality employment opportunities.
Patron-in-Chief Baba Brahmdas Ji conveyed his blessings online and assured complete support for the initiative. Several dignitaries including Sukhdev Singh Nanakpura, MLA Malerkotla Dr. Mohammad Jamil-ur-Rahman, and Punjab BC Commission Chairman Malkit Singh Thind also expressed strong support.
The Council later visited ISB Mohali—ranked 5th globally—where Dr. Chandan Chaudhary welcomed the delegation and offered a guided tour, sharing insights into ISB’s global success. A fellowship lunch was hosted in honour of the Governing Council.
Vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh Dhot delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries.
Prominent patrons such as Dr. Iqbal Singh, Kesar Singh Dhot, Kehar Singh Josan, Gurmeet Singh, Parminder Singh, and many others attended the event. Dr. Mangal Singh, who participated with great pride, pledged his full support to the university “with money, mind, and body.”
Distinguished guests including Sant Singh Josan, Dr. Kanwaljit Singh Kaura, Jasbir Singh Kaura, Mandeep Singh Josan, Jagdish Thind, Baldev Singh Handa, and several others also graced the gathering.
