69th Punjab State Inter-District School Circle Kabaddi Championship kicks off in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, November 26, 2025: The 69th Punjab State Inter-District School Games (2025-26) for Under-14 boys and girls in Circle Kabaddi began on Tuesday at Bazidpur in district Ferozepur. The tournament has been organized under the supervision of Surinder Kaur, Principal, PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Bazidpur, Pawanpreet Kaur, Principal, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Public School Bazidpur, and Navdeep Kumar, CHT, Government Primary School Bazidpur.
The event was formally inaugurated by District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora, who attended as the chief guest. Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) and National Awardee Dr. Satinder Singh, along with School Chairman Darshan Singh Sher Khan, graced the occasion as special guests.
Principal Pawanpreet Kaur welcomed the guests with bouquets.
In her address, chief guest Munila Arora, along with Dr. Satinder Singh, extended best wishes to the participating students, teachers, coaches, and parents from various districts. They also urged visitors to explore the historically significant sites of Bazidpur Sahib—land blessed by Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj, and associated with the last rites of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru, and Shaheed Sukhdev, as well as the legendary martyrs of Saragarhi.
Tournament in-charge and DM Sports Akash Kumar informed that 27 matches of Circle Kabaddi are being played across two grounds on the opening day. He added that the tournament, which began on November 26, will conclude on November 29. He praised the dedicated efforts of students and teachers visible in the preparations and performances.
The event began with a welcome song presented by students of Sahibzada Ajit Singh School, followed by an impressive Gatka performance that captivated the audience. Stage coordination was efficiently handled by Jaswinder Singh, History Lecturer.
