Election Observer for Faridkot holds meeting with the Deputy Commissioner and all concerned officials
Faridkot, 3= December,3, 2025: The Observer appointed by the State Election Commission for the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections-2025 in Faridkot district, Manjit Singh Brar, Commissioner of Faridkot Division, held a special meeting with District Election Officer–cum–Deputy Commissioner Madam Poonamdeep Kaur and all officials related to the elections. During the meeting, he reviewed the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the elections.
Sh. Manjit Singh Brar, directed all officers to ensure that the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections scheduled for 14 December are conducted in a fully transparent, fair, and peaceful manner, and that no party /candidates should face any inconvenience in this regard. He reviewed all aspects related to nominations, polling parties, polling booths, security arrangements, and also obtained detailed information regarding the counting of votes on 17 December and the counting centres. He instructed that all officers will be fully accountable for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections as per the guidelines of the State Election Commission.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed the Observer–cum–Commissioner of Faridkot Division that the district has a total of 10 zones for the Zila Parishad and 65 zones for the three Block Samitis. She stated that Panchayat Samiti Faridkot has 21 zones, Panchayat Samiti Kotkapura has 19 zones, and Panchayat Samiti Jaito has 25 zones. She further informed that the last date for filing nominations is 4 December 2025 (Thursday), scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on 5 December 2025 (Friday), and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is 6 December 2025 (Saturday) till 3:00 PM. She added that instructions have already been issued to all Returning Officers to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections. Arrangements for polling, including security staff, are complete, and preparations for counting centres have also been finalized.
