Chandigarh, January 2, 2025: Three National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, have been selected for the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi.
The selection places the cadets among a select group chosen from across the country through a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process conducted by the NCC, marking a moment of pride for the institution.
Among the selected cadets, Anubhav, a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) student, has been chosen to participate in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, one of the highest honours for an NCC cadet.
The other two cadets, Naveen Kumar, an Information Technology (IT) student, and Vishal, a CSE student, will take part in the Prime Minister’s Rally, another key highlight of the Republic Day celebrations.
All three cadets have attended more than 12 NCC camps each and successfully cleared every stage of the selection process. They have undergone intensive training under the guidance of the NCC Department, CGC Landran, and 3 Punjab Battalion NCC, Mohali.
The latest achievement further strengthens CGC Landran’s consistent record of excellence in NCC activities at inter-group and national levels. Notable past achievers include Cadet Saloni Nayak, who won a Gold Medal in the Inter-Group Sports Shooting Competition; Cadet Preneet Kaur, who secured top positions at the Basic Leadership Camp and earned recognition for excellence in debate; and Senior Under Officer Mahima, who received the CWS Award for Best Cadet for her outstanding performance in training camps and community engagement initiatives.
Earlier, Cadet Vidushi Chauhan represented CGC Landran at the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in 2025. In 2019, Medhavi Tomar, recipient of the NCC’s All India Best Cadet Award-2019, was felicitated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the Prime Minister’s NCC Rally in New Delhi. These achievements continue to inspire NCC cadets across the institution.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran, and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, congratulated the cadets on their selection and extended their best wishes. Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “The selection of our cadets for the Republic Day Camp and their participation in the Republic Day Parade and Prime Minister’s Rally reflects their dedication and the structured training provided through NCC at CGC Landran. We wish them great success at the national level.”
