Chandigarh, January 2, 2026: In a major move to promote women’s empowerment, the Haryana Government has expanded the scope of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, ensuring that over one lakh new women across the state will now receive direct financial support under the scheme.
The initiative aims to strengthen women from economically weaker sections and help them achieve self-reliance.
According to an official spokesperson, women from families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1 lakh will continue to receive the existing benefits, with monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,100 remaining unchanged. No eligible beneficiary has been removed or excluded.
To further social development, the government has introduced three new categories under the scheme, expanding eligibility to families earning less than Rs. 1.80 lakh per year. Benefits will be available for up to three children per family.
- First Category: Mothers of children studying in government schools who score above 80 percent in Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will receive Rs. 2,100 per month.
- Second Category: Mothers of children from Class 1 to Class 4 achieving grade-level proficiency under the Government of India’s NIPUN Mission will also be eligible.
- Third Category: Mothers who help previously malnourished or anaemic children move to the Green Zone on the Poshan Tracker will receive the benefit.
In a bid to ensure long-term financial security, the Haryana Government has also introduced a new mechanism for fund allocation. Out of the Rs. 2,100 monthly assistance, Rs. 1,100 will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account, while Rs. 1,000 will be deposited in the form of a recurring or fixed deposit.
The accumulated amount, along with interest, will be given to the woman in the future. In case of the beneficiary’s untimely demise, the total deposited amount will be transferred immediately to the nominee.
This expansion of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana reflects the state government’s commitment to empowering women, supporting families financially, and securing the future of children across Haryana.
