Supreme Court grants interim relief to Punjab Kesari Group, bars Punjab government action against Printing Press

New Delhi, January 20, 2026: Supreme Court today granted interim relief to Punjab Kesari Group of newspapers and barred Punjab government action against Printing Press of publication.
According to a report of Live Law, while decision of Punjab and Haryana High Court on group’s petition is pending, Supreme Court granted relief and ordered that the printing press of the newspaper shall function uninterruptedly subject to the judgement of the High Court. The interim order will continue till pronouncement of the judgement of the High Court and for a week thereafter to enable the parties to seek appellate remedies.
