IAS officer Preeti Yadav posted as MD, MARKFED

Chandigarh, January 21, 2026: Preeti Yadav, 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Managing Director of MARKFED. Preeti Yadav was serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Patiala before her transfer. She replaces Kumar Amit, IAS, who has been relieved of the additional charge of MD MARKFED.
The appointment comes as part of a major administrative reshuffle in the state, in which the Punjab government transferred 26 IAS and PCS officers with immediate effect.
As part of the same reshuffle, Varjeet Walia, IAS (2018) has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, replacing Preeti Yadav.
