  New Delhi/Chandigarh, January 23, 2026: Widespread rain along with strong winds lashed majority parts of North India including Punjab and Chandigarh, resulting in dip in temperature. Rain started around 3.00 AM in the morning and is likely to continue throughout the day.
  
  Till now region was witnessing dry spell of cold but this rain has ended this dry spell. Rain is good for wheat crop though vegetable crops will be damaged.
