Punjab Regiment to hold Agniveer Recruitment Rally from Feb 16 at Ramgarh Cantonment
Jalandhar, February 11, 2026:
The Punjab Regimental Centre will conduct an Agniveer Recruitment Rally under the Unit Headquarters Quota from February 16, 2026 onwards at Dhyan Chand Stadium, Ramgarh Cantonment. Candidates must report at Longewala Gate, The Punjab Regimental Centre, Ramgarh Cantt, at 4:00 am on their respective scheduled dates.
According to official information, the rally will begin on February 16 for Trial Sponsored and Outstanding Sportsmen. Sikh sportspersons (except Mazhabi, Ramdasia, SC and ST) meeting certification norms are eligible. National and international level sportspersons can also be recruited under All India All Class (AIAC), irrespective of state and class. Sports disciplines include athletics (track and field), basketball, boxing, football, hockey, handball, volleyball, wrestling and kabaddi.
February 17 has been kept as a reserve day for sports trials. On February 18, recruitment for Agniveer General Duty (Sikh only, including selected sportsmen) will be held. Sikh candidates (except Mazhabi, Ramdasia, SC and ST) from any state/UT are eligible under the relationship category.
The same day will also cover Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass – Chef and Dresser) and 8th Pass (House Keeper) categories for wards of serving and ex-servicemen of the Indian Army. Agniveer Tradesman (All India All Caste) and Agniveer Tdn 10th Pass Musician (AIAC – Open Category) candidates from across India can also participate. An aptitude test for musicians will be conducted on February 19 by the IOAB Inspector of Army Band.
The age limit for applicants is 17½ to 21 years. The effective date for determining age eligibility will be October 1 of the recruiting year (April 1 to March 31 cycle). Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards and other eligibility criteria as applicable to their respective categories and trades under the Indian Army.
