Haryana Govt upgrades 10 district hospitals with CT, MRI & modern labs; More enhancement underway: CM Nayab Saini

Chandigarh, February 26, 2026: Reaffirming the Haryana Government’s commitment to strengthening public healthcare, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday announced that district-level hospitals across the state are being upgraded with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, including CT scans, MRI machines and digital X-ray systems.
Speaking during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said that 10 district hospitals have already been modernised and dedicated to the public, while the upgradation of other hospitals is progressing swiftly.
He informed the House that the state government is equipping district hospitals with state-of-the-art laboratories, CT scan and MRI facilities, digital X-ray units, ultrasound services and private wards to ensure comprehensive and accessible healthcare services for citizens.
Highlighting the rapid pace of development, the Chief Minister said that the initiative aims to reduce the burden on tertiary care centres and ensure that quality medical facilities are available closer to people’s homes. The move is expected to significantly improve diagnostic capabilities and patient care at the district level.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini reiterated that strengthening healthcare infrastructure remains a top priority of the state government, and continuous efforts are being made to enhance medical services across Haryana.
