Three-Day training for Anganwadi Workers held under ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’
Ferozepur, April 6, 2026: In line with the directions of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Punjab, a three-day district-level training programme for Anganwadi workers was organised under the ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ initiative in Ferozepur.
The training was conducted in two batches for Anganwadi workers of Block Makhu at Cottonwood International School.
District Programme Officer Ruchika Nanda informed that the training focused on strengthening workers’ capacity in child nutrition and early childhood education. The primary objective was to promote early stimulation for children aged 0–3 years and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for children aged 3–6 years. The programme also aimed to equip Anganwadi workers with knowledge about various aspects of child development.
During the sessions, workers were trained to engage children aged 3–6 years in activities related to language development, cognitive growth, creativity, physical development, and cultural awareness.
Child Development Project Officer, Sukhwinder Kaur, along with supervisors, block coordinators, and Anganwadi workers, were present on the occasion.
