Supreme Court denies bail to Sajjan Kumar in 1984 Sikh genocide case

New Delhi, April 24, 2026: Supreme Court of India has denied bail to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar who is facing life sentence in difference cases of 1984 Sikh Genocide.
Disclosing this senior advocate HS Phoolka said that he had earlier filed petition in Supreme Court in November 2025 but the court had said that if his petition is not heard, he can apply bail. He applied for bail but Supreme Court denied him bail and listed the matter for hearing in July 2026.
