Haryana Assembly pays rich tributes to former Leaders, Martyrs

Chandigarh, April 27, 2026: The Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Monday held a one-day session during which obituary resolutions were passed to pay tributes to prominent personalities who passed away since the last session, as well as to soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Chief Minister and Leader of the House Nayab Singh Saini read out the obituary resolutions, remembering former Deputy Speaker Gopi Chand Gahlot and former Member of Parliament Jangbir Singh.
Speaker Harvinder Kalyan also paid homage to the departed leaders, while Aditya Devilal expressed condolences on behalf of his party.
The House further paid heartfelt tributes to brave soldiers from Haryana who made the supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the nation’s unity and integrity. Members observed solemn respect in memory of the martyrs, acknowledging their courage and service to the country.
The session concluded on a somber note, with the Assembly expressing collective grief and सम्मान for the departed souls.
