Storm tragedy in Ferozepur: Wall crashes during mourning meet, 10 Injured including women and child
Ferozepur, May 15, 2026: A tragic incident took place today in Gol Bagh Basti on Dulchike Road in Ferozepur city when a house wall collapsed during a powerful windstorm, leaving around 10 people seriously injured.
According to information received, a mourning gathering was being held at the house following the death of a family member. Relatives and local residents were sitting together when strong winds and a sudden storm hit the area. Due to the pressure of the storm, a large grill-fitted wall constructed above the roof reportedly gave way and collapsed onto the people sitting below.
The sudden collapse triggered panic and chaos at the scene. Local residents immediately rushed to help, removing debris and rescuing the injured trapped underneath.
Those injured include men, women, and a small child. All the victims were shifted to a private hospital in Ferozepur for treatment. Doctors stated that the condition of some injured persons remains critical.
The heartbreaking incident has created an atmosphere of shock and grief across the locality.
SSP Bhupinder Singh who also visited the injured persons in the hospital, said, it was a natural incident and at present the injured are safe.
