Chandigarh, June 4, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released another list of candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections 2026, naming several prominent leaders from across the country.
In a key decision, the party has nominated its National General Secretary Tarun Chugh for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. The move is being seen as a major organisational and political elevation for Chugh, who has long been an active figure in the party’s national structure.
Tarun Chugh, currently serving as National General Secretary of the BJP, has played a significant role in strengthening the party’s organisational network. His nomination to the Upper House is being viewed within political circles as recognition of his long-standing contribution and rising stature in the party hierarchy.
Following the announcement, political activity has intensified, with the new list drawing attention across party ranks. Sources indicate that Chugh’s nomination is likely to energise party workers in Madhya Pradesh as well as in Punjab, where he has been an influential organisational face.
The BJP is expected to announce remaining nominations for other states after further internal deliberations.
