Chandigarh BJP holds Hawan, Aarti and Ardas to mark PM Modi’s historic milestone as longest-serving elected Prime Minister

Chandigarh, June 10, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh Pradesh, on Wednesday organized Hawan, Aarti, Path and Ardas ceremonies across the city to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in India's history.
Special prayers were conducted at temples and gurdwaras across all six districts of Chandigarh, with party leaders and workers seeking blessings for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life and continued success in leading the nation.
At Gurdwara Patshahi Dasvin, Sector 8, BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jitender Pal Malhotra, General Secretary Rambir Bhatti, District President Sonu Sarpanch and other party office-bearers participated in the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib and offered Ardas for the Prime Minister's well-being and the country's continued progress.
In Sector 39-D, a Hawan was organized at Shiv Mandir under the leadership of District President Rekha Sood. BJP Chandigarh Pradesh Media Incharge Ravi Rawat, Mandal President Amit Nagar, Councillor Gurbaksh Kaur and several party leaders attended the ceremony and offered prayers for the Prime Minister’s health and longevity. A Path and Ardas were also held at Gurdwara Santsar Sahib in Sector 38 West.
District President Ravindra Malik led a special Ardas at Gurdwara Ram Darbar Phase-II, where party workers prayed for Prime Minister Modi’s long life and the prosperity of the nation.
Similar programmes were held across Chandigarh. Under the leadership of District President Bhupender Singh Saini, Hawan and prayer ceremonies were conducted at Shiv Mandir in Subhash Nagar, Manimajra, followed by an Ardas at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Mauli Jagran. District President Anoop Gupta organized a Hawan at Valmiki Dharamshala in Bapu Dham Colony, while Bharat Ratna Atal District President Khushwinder Singh led prayers at Radha Madhav Mandir in Sector 34-C.
BJP leaders said the ceremonies were held to express gratitude for Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and to pray for his continued service to the nation. They highlighted what they described as significant achievements during the past 12 years in areas such as infrastructure development, welfare initiatives, national security, cultural heritage and India’s growing global stature.
Party leaders expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India would continue its journey towards becoming a developed nation and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat.
