  Ludhiana (Punjab), June 28, 2026: Former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA from the Gill Assembly constituency, Darshan Singh Shivalik, joined Waris Punjab De, the political party led by Member of Parliament Amritpal Singh, on Sunday.
  
  Shivalik was inducted into the party during an event held in Ludhiana in the presence of Tarsem Singh, father of MP Amritpal Singh, and Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali.
