Ferozepur, July 1, 2026: On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, students of Vivekananda World School paid a heartfelt tribute to eminent doctors of Ferozepur, expressing their respect and gratitude for the selfless services rendered by medical professionals in saving lives and serving humanity.
National Doctors' Day in India is observed annually on July 1st . It honors the birth and death anniversary of legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy and celebrates the invaluable contributions, tireless dedication, and sacrifices of medical professionals nationwide.
Doctors have always played a vital role as the protectors of public health, working tirelessly day and night to provide medical care, comfort, and hope to patients. Beyond treating illnesses, they serve humanity through compassion, dedication, and their commitment to improving the quality of life of people, often putting the needs of others before their own.
Sharing details about the initiative, School Director Dr. S. N. Rudra said that students visited some of the city’s leading healthcare professionals, including Dr. Kamal Baghi, Founder and Chairman of Anil Baghi Hospital; Dr. Naresh Khanna of Khanna Nursing Home; and Dr. Sheel Sethi of Sheel Children’s Hospital. The students presented handmade greeting cards and tokens of appreciation to the doctors as a mark of respect for their remarkable contribution to society.
The visits proved to be an inspiring learning experience for the students as they interacted with the doctors and learned about hospital management, patient care, medical education, and the responsibilities associated with the noble profession of medicine. The doctors patiently answered their queries and motivated the students to work hard, remain compassionate, and consider careers dedicated to serving humanity.
At Sheel Children’s Hospital, Dr. Sheel Sethi made the occasion more memorable by presenting pencils to the students as a gesture of affection and encouragement.
Dr. S. N. Rudra said that the celebration was not merely a tribute to doctors but also an educational initiative aimed at inculcating values of service, dedication, and empathy among young minds. He added that such activities help students understand the importance of noble professions and inspire them to make meaningful contributions to society.
Sapan Vats and Rajani Sachdeva PROs were also present and accompanied the students during the visits.
