Breaking: ITBP DIG Parminder Singh, driver killed in road accident

Saharanpur, August 15, 2026: Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Parminder Singh and his driver, Ravi Shankar, were killed in a road accident in the Sarsawa police station area on Saturday.
One ITBP jawan was also injured in the accident and has been admitted to a medical college for treatment.
According to preliminary information, DIG Parminder Singh, who was reportedly in the area in connection with HSMC at the ITBP Academy, met with the accident while travelling out of the area. He reportedly died at the spot.
Singh hailed from Ropar (Rupnagar), Punjab. Further details about the accident are awaited.
