Ram Sarup Haritwal takes oath, presides over first Cantonment Board meeting in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, August 19, 2026: Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ferozepur Cantonment Board, Ram Sarup Haritwal, formally took oath before Brigadier Y.S. Sajwan, President, Cantonment Board, and thereafter presided over his first board meeting.
Haritwal took charge as CEO of Ferozepur Cantonment Board following the transfer of Jones Vikas, who was serving as the CEO and was transferred about a month ago.
The Cantonment Board takes decisions regarding development works and other civic matters in the cantonment area in the presence of the Board President and other members. During the meeting, the newly appointed CEO participated in the proceedings after taking the oath of office before the Cantonment Board President.
The meeting marked the beginning of Haritwal’s formal functioning as CEO in the Board’s decision-making process concerning the development and civic administration of Ferozepur Cantonment.
