Breaking: Waterlogging at Delhi Airport Terminal 3 after hour-long rain; Passengers wade through water

New Delhi, September 4, 2026: Heavy rain led to waterlogging at the arrival area of Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, with passengers seen making their way through waterlogged areas.
Videos from the airport showed water accumulated at the Terminal 3 arrivals area, while airport staff were seen using wipers and other measures to clear the water.
An airport employee said they had never witnessed such a situation at the airport before. According to the employee, rainwater would earlier drain away normally, but the situation changed after about an hour of rainfall.
The waterlogging caused inconvenience to passengers arriving at the airport, with visuals showing travellers walking through the accumulated water.
