Punjab Govt Appoints 18 Market Committee Chairmen

Chandigarh, September 11, 2026: The Punjab Government has appointed chairmen of 18 Market Committees across the state. The Agriculture Department, Punjab, issued a notification in this regard on Friday.
As per the details, Resham Singh has been appointed Chairman of Chogawan Market Committee, Harpal Singh Chauhan of Gahri Committee, Lakhwinder Singh Usma of Mehta Committee, Gurshaminder Singh of Arniwala Committee, Amit Rinhwa of Fazilka Committee, Pardeep Kumar of Jalalabad Committee, Angrez Singh Brar of Sito Guno Committee, Harmeet Singh Sandhu of Ferozepur City Committee, Rajinder Singh Jangla of Fatehgarh Churian Committee, Gagandeep Singh of Gurdaspur Committee, Rahul Sharma of Kahnuwan Committee and Sarabjit Singh Pappal of Bhulath Committee.
Similarly, Bikramjit Singh has been appointed Chairman of Dhilwan Committee, Gurpal Bahadur Singh of Kapurthala Committee, Akashdeep Singh of Sultanpur Lodhi Committee, Sameer Sharda of Pathankot Committee, Channan Singh of Anandpur Sahib Committee and Gurbaaz Singh of Killiwanli Market Committee.
The Punjab Government had earlier also made appointments to several market committees and other government bodies in August.
