Breaking: Farmers to march to Chandigarh on Dec 7 over pending demands: Farmer leader Pandher

Chandigarh, October 17, 2026: Farmers will march to Chandigarh on December 7 to press for the fulfilment of their pending demands, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said.
According to a report by Press Trust of India (PTI), Pandher said the farmers are seeking a legal guarantee for the minimum support price (MSP) on the purchase of five crops, along with a loan waiver for farmers and agricultural labourers.
The proposed march is aimed at pressing the government to address these demands. Further details regarding the planned protest and the participation of farmer organisations are awaited.
