Pb Govt continues employment drive, MLA Dahiya hands over appointment letters to 28 Anganwadi Helpers
Ferozepur, October 21, 2026: In a step towards strengthening grassroots service delivery and providing employment opportunities, Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajnish Kumar Dahiya handed over appointment letters to 28 Anganwadi helpers appointed at Anganwadi centres in the Ferozepur Rural constituency on Wednesday. Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Sukhwinder Kaur was also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, MLA Dahiya said the Punjab Government was continuing its employment drive, with appointment letters being issued to eligible candidates in different sectors. The appointment of 28 Anganwadi helpers was part of these ongoing efforts to create employment opportunities while strengthening the delivery of essential services at the grassroots level.
He emphasised that Anganwadi workers and helpers played a crucial role in connecting the government with people, particularly in ensuring that welfare schemes and facilities reached their intended beneficiaries. Their contribution was significant in facilitating access to healthcare-related services and social and economic welfare programmes.
Congratulating the newly appointed helpers, Dahiya said they had become an important part of the government’s service delivery network. He urged them to discharge their duties with dedication and sincerity and actively spread awareness about government schemes so that more people could benefit from them.
MLA added that strengthening Anganwadi centres through adequate manpower would help improve the outreach of welfare initiatives and ensure better access to public services at the community level.
