MLB Foundation unveils poster for annual events honouring senior citizens and promoting literature
Ferozepur, November 5, 2026: With the aim of promoting respect for elders and recognising their invaluable contributions to society, the MLB Foundation released a poster highlighting various social, literary, and cultural events being organised as part of its annual initiatives.
It is noteworthy that the MLB Foundation organises various programmes every year in memory of Late Mohan Lal Bhaskar Ji and to commemorate his birth anniversary. The primary objective of these events is to honour senior citizens, connect the younger generation with their experiences and life values, and further strengthen the spirit of mutual respect and service in society. Continuing this tradition, the Foundation has planned several social welfare and literary activities this year, details of which have been included in the newly released poster.
The poster release ceremony was attended by Dr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, Chairman of Vivekananda World School; Dr. S.N. Rudra, Director, VWS; Mahima Kapoor, VP (Admin); and Shipra Narula, V P (Academics). Also present were MLB Foundation members Santokh Singh, Davinder Nath Sharma, Jhalkeshwar Bhaskar, Lankesh Kamal, and Harmeet Vidyarthi, along with Darshan Sidhu, Sports Coordinator, and Sapan Vats (PRO) of Vivekananda World School.
The programmes planned by the Foundation include inter-school and college-level painting, essay writing, and slogan writing competitions, a free eye check-up camp, a senior citizens' felicitation ceremony, a book launch ceremony, an All India Mushaira, and various social service activities. Through these initiatives, the Foundation aims to spread awareness about the importance of respecting elders and valuing their life experiences. Another major highlight of these events will be the launch of the book 'Sarmaya Hamare Buzurg', authored by Dr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar.
Among all the scheduled events, the All India Mushaira remains a major attraction, bringing together renowned poets from different parts of the country. Through their beautiful compositions, ghazals, and poetry, these distinguished poets captivate literature enthusiasts. The Mushaira not only strengthens literary connections but also provides a common platform for poets from diverse regions to share their creativity and artistic expressions.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar stated that elders are an invaluable treasure of society, and their experiences, values, and life struggles serve as a source of inspiration for future generations. He emphasised that the objective of the MLB Foundation is not merely to organise events but to promote and strengthen the values of respect for elders, humanity, literature, and social service within society.
