Chandigarh, December 29, 2024: An important meeting of All India Consumer Welfare Council Punjab, Chandigarh was held, in which Dr. Inderjit Kaur, President North Zone AICWC, Iqbal Singh Bal, President Punjab/Chandigarh, General Secretary Hardeep Singh and Ravinder Kaur, Media Advisor of Women's Wing (Chandigarh) were present.
During the meeting, it was discussed how to make people more aware of their rights while following the instructions issued by Vikayat Sahni and Devendra Tiwari.
Madam Inderjit Kaur said that our meeting has been held to make the people of Chandigarh and Punjab more aware. She said that in the coming time, an agenda will be prepared as to how the people can be made more aware so that their loot can be stopped.
On this occasion, Iqbal Singh Bal said that it is very important to know the rights as a consumer. However, the market should follow some ethics and values. If we are not well aware of our rights, then some evil people can exploit us.
General Secretary Hardeep Singh said that awareness of rights helps us maximize our benefits as consumers and enable the ethical flow of goods and services in the market.
Media Advisor Ravinder Kaur said during the meeting that the government continues to emphasize on consumer rights and the protection of those rights and tries to involve and educate citizens. It is important for consumers to be educated about these rights and practice them in their daily lives.
On this occasion, it was decided during the meeting that an agenda should be prepared in the coming days and with that in mind, our teams will go out among the people and make them aware of their (people's) rights.
