New Delhi, January 24, 2025: The Government of India (GoI) has revoked the suspension of Alankrita Singh, 2008-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre and her voluntary retirement (VRS) has been accepted.
She was suspended on the charges of dereliction of duty and indiscipline following reports indicating that she traveled to London without obtaining the necessary formal approval from the appropriate authority while serving as the Superintendent of Police in the Women and Child Safety Department.
As per information, the IPS officer had not reported to the office since October 20, 2021. The suspension order was enacted after it was confirmed that she had been persistently absent from her duties and was allegedly residing in London without having her leave formally sanctioned.
