Telangana Govt reshuffles senior bureaucracy; N Sridhar appointed Principal Secretary to CM

Hyderabad (Telangana), June 27, 2026: The Telangana government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to over a dozen senior officials across key departments. Among the most notable appointments, senior IAS officer N Sridhar has been named the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
N Sridhar, a 1997-batch IAS officer, was previously serving as Principal Secretary in the Mines and Geology Department. His appointment is seen as a significant move in the latest round of bureaucratic changes announced by the state government.
As part of the reshuffle, Sabyasachi Ghosh, Special Chief Secretary overseeing flagship welfare and development schemes and Corporate Social Responsibility, has been given additional charge of the Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department. He will also oversee the Director of Handlooms and Textiles, Telangana Handicrafts Development Corporation, and Telangana State Cooperative Oilseeds Growers Federation (TGCO), while continuing to hold charge of the Tribal Welfare Department.
Shailaja Ramaiyer has been transferred from the Endowments Department to head the Environment, Forests, Science and Technology Department. She has also been entrusted with additional charge of the Endowments Department and the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI).
Ahmad Nadeem, who previously headed the Environment, Forests, Science and Technology Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary (Political) in the General Administration Department. He will also oversee the Minorities Welfare Department as additional charge.
Among other key appointments, Rahul Bojja has been posted as Principal Secretary for Disaster Management while continuing to hold additional charge of the Backward Classes Welfare Department. M. Raghunandan Rao has been assigned additional responsibility for the Mines and Geology Department alongside his role in Commercial Taxes and Excise.
The government has also transferred B. Ajith Reddy, formerly Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, as Chief Executive Officer of Invest Telangana.
Further changes include Md Musharraf Ali Faruqui being given additional charge as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGREDCO, while P. Katyayani Devi has been appointed Special Secretary for Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts.
In the latest postings, K. Gangadhar has been named Special Secretary in the Roads and Buildings Department, T. Venkanna has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, K. Vidyasagar has taken over as Director of Tourism with additional charge as State Nodal Officer for Prajavani, and K. Chandrakala has been given additional responsibility as Joint Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA.
The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing administrative efficiency by reallocating senior officers across strategic departments and public institutions.
