Legendary marathon runner Fauja Singh has passed away at the age of approximately 114 years. He had reportedly been unwell for the past few days. Widely regarded as the world's oldest marathon runner, Fauja Singh began his marathon journey in the year 2000, eventually participating in eight races.
In 2011, he made global headlines by competing in the Toronto Marathon, earning recognition as the oldest marathon runner. However, his name was not officially recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records due to the lack of a birth certificate.
In 2012, he astonished the world once again by completing a 20-kilometre run during the London Marathon. His last professional race was in 2013, when he ran in the Hong Kong Marathon at the age of 101.
