Breaking: DC office receives bomb threat, building evacuated

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), April 16, 2025:A major security scare unfolded in Mandi on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat was received via email, targeting the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The threat led to the immediate evacuation of the DC office building, and a bomb disposal squad was deployed to the site without delay.
According to initial reports, the threatening email was received on the official email ID of the Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, creating a wave of panic among government staff and locals. As a precautionary measure, all personnel were safely evacuated, and the surrounding area was cordoned off.
A team of investigating agencies, including cybercrime experts, has been mobilized to trace the origin of the email and assess the credibility of the threat.Security forces are conducting a thorough search of the premises in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Superintendent of Police Sakshi Verma, in an official press release, confirmed the receipt of the threat and stated, "The building has been evacuated as a precaution. Anti-sabotage checks are underway. We request the public to remain calm and cooperate with authorities."
While no explosive device has been found so far, security has been tightened across the district, and authorities are treating the matter with utmost seriousness.
