Breaking: Rajbir Ghuman sends legal notice to Bikram Majithia

Chandigarh, October 27, 2026: Rajbir Singh Ghuman, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has sent a legal notice to senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, accusing him of making false, baseless and defamatory allegations against him on social media.
According to the notice, Ghuman has alleged that the social media posts have damaged his reputation and public image.
The notice reportedly demands that Majithia remove the disputed social media post within 24 hours, issue an unconditional public apology and provide a written assurance that he will not make similar allegations in the future.
It further warns that failure to comply with the demands within the stipulated period could lead to criminal proceedings and a defamation lawsuit against Majithia.
The legal notice marks a fresh development in the ongoing exchange between the Punjab government functionary and the senior Akali Dal leader. Further details regarding Majithia’s response to the notice were not available at the time of filing this report.
