Harpal Singh Cheema: The Finance Minister has been handed the additional charge of the Transport Department. Cheema, who recently presented the state budget, will now oversee the critical transport sector.

Dr. Ravjot: The Minister for NRI Affairs and Local Government has been assigned the additional charge of the Jails Department.
Context of the Resignation Laljit Singh Bhullar resigned on Saturday, March 21, after being linked to the tragic suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a District Manager with the Punjab State Warehousing Corporation. The official had released a video alleging harassment by the minister before taking his own life.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that the resignation was sought to ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the allegations. An FIR has since been registered against Bhullar and others under sections related to abetment of suicide.
