ED raids Simranpreet Panesar's house, case linked to Canada
Raid on house of accused involved in 4 quintal gold theft case

Mohali (Punjab), February 21, 2025: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of Simranpreet Panesar (32), an accused in the biggest gold theft case in Canadian history.
In this case, it has been claimed that 4 quintals of gold were stolen, in which 6,600 gold rods were sent to Canada in a truck.
ED teams reached Panesar's house in Sector 79, Mohali in the morning and also conducted raids in Sector 32, Chandigarh. Panesar, a former manager of Air Canada, is being questioned. This case is related to a major gold theft in Canada, where 4 quintals of gold have been claimed to have been stolen.
The ED has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. The investigation is currently ongoing and further details are awaited.
