Edu Dept honours 33 meritorious students; MLAs Bhullar, Dahiya, Sarari vow quality education

Ferozepur, May 31, 2025: The Education Department of Ferozepur today organised a district-level felicitation ceremony for 33 meritorious students from 8th, 10th, and 12th grades at the local School of Eminence. The event was held under the leadership of Munila Arora, District Education Officer (Secondary), and Dr. Satinder Singh, Dy.DEO(S). The ceremony was graced by MLA Ferozepur Urban, Ranbir Singh Bhullar, MLA Ferozepur Rural, Advocate Rajnish Dahiya, and MLA Guru Har Sahai, Fauja Singh Sarari, as chief guests.
After a warm and formal welcome by the organisers, the school students presented a welcoming song to greet the guests.
On this occasion, MLA Firozpur, Ranbir Singh Bhullar, congratulated the meritorious students, stating that their success is not only due to their hard work but also significantly attributed to the support of their parents and teachers. He emphasised that both the students and their parents and teachers deserve equal commendation. He expressed confidence that these meritorious students would continue to work hard, achieve national and international recognition, and serve as role models for other students in government schools.
MLA Rajnish Dahiya also congratulated the bright students, their parents, and teachers, remarking that these students are the future of our nation. He added that their achievement in the merit list, through hard work, is a matter of immense pride for the region. He expressed joy that the youth in the border areas are progressing with such dedication and struggle.
MLA Fauja Singh Sarari stated that these meritorious students have brought honour to the entire district. He highlighted that these students have achieved their names in the state merit list due to the hard work of their teachers and their dedication. He further added that such felicitation programs for meritorious students serve as an inspiration for other children, instilling in them a spirit of hard work and dedication.
All the honourable MLAs collectively affirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is fully committed to providing quality education and opportunities for the bright future of students in government schools across the state.
Earlier, DEO (S) and Dy. DEO (S) welcomed the MLAs. They highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, significant improvements have been made in government schools, leading to substantial enhancements in students' results. They expressed optimism that the performance of government school students would further improve in the future, enabling them to achieve success in prestigious national and international competitions.
During the event, the meritorious students also shared their joy and thoughts, assuring everyone that they would continue to work hard in the future to bring glory to their school, village, and district.
On this occasion, the MLAs also launched the book 'Jataka Stories' (related to the past lives of Mahatma Buddha) by Madam Rajni Jagga, Lecturer at SSS Bareke.
