Chandigarh, December 5, 2024: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) aims to establish a robust digital health infrastructure in the country, connecting various stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem through digital channels.
A key component of ABDM is the ABHA ID, a unique 14-digit number that links an individual's health records.
This initiative promotes the digitization of healthcare and offers several benefits, including a unique identity, centralized health records, seamless access to healthcare facilities, a professional registry, easy monitoring of health records, secure digital health records, and straightforward registration of Personal Health Records (PHR).
Today, the Haryana Chief Secretary, Dr. Vivek Joshi has urged all state government employees living in Chandigarh to create their ABHA ID by downloading the ABHA app from the Play Store or Apple Store, or by visiting the ABDM website.
A letter regarding this has been received from the Chandigarh Administration.
