Immigration firm owner commits suicide; FIR lodged against AIG, 3 others

Mohali (Punjab), September 10, 2025: In a major development, police have registered an FIR against an Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Punjab Police and three others after the suicide of an immigration company owner.
The deceased, identified as Rajdeep Singh, ended his life on Tuesday. Before taking the extreme step, he left behind a suicide note naming four individuals, including Punjab Police officer AIG Sameer Aggarwal and two others, as responsible for his death.
In his note, Rajdeep alleged that the accused had committed large-scale fraud against him, pushing him into severe mental distress. Police officials confirmed that the suicide note has now become a crucial piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation.
The case has sent shockwaves across Mohali, with questions being raised about the involvement of senior police officials. Further investigations are underway.
