Labourer’s Son Makes History: Tauseef Ahmad Gani Becomes Pulwama’s First IAS Officer

Pulwama (South Kashmir), March 8: In a remarkable achievement that has brought pride and celebration to South Kashmir, Tauseef Ahmad Gani, the son of a daily wage labourer, has scripted history by becoming the first candidate from Pulwama district to qualify for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) after clearing the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination.

When Tauseef returned to his native village after the declaration of the results, hundreds of villagers, relatives, teachers and friends gathered along the roads to welcome him.
