Massive IPS Reshuffle: 35 senior officers transferred across key roles

Bengaluru (Karnataka), July 15, 2025 — In the biggest police reshuffle of the year, the Karnataka government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders for 35 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
Among the key transfers, Dr. Chandragupta (IPS:2006) has been moved from the post of IGP & Additional Commissioner (Crimes), Bengaluru, to IGP, North Eastern Range, Kalaburagi.
Ajay Hilori (IPS:2008), who was serving as DIGP, North Eastern Range, will now take charge as DIGP & Joint Commissioner (Crimes), Bengaluru. MN Anucheth (IPS:2009), previously handling traffic as DIGP & Joint Commissioner, has been transferred to DIGP, Police Recruitment.
Iada Martin Marbaniang (IPS:2009), who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as DIGP (Administration) at the Police Headquarters in Bengaluru.
Other significant changes include Vartika Katiyar (IPS:2010), who has been moved from DIGP & Additional Commandant General, Home Guards, to DIGP, Bellary Range. Karthik Reddy (IPS:2011) takes over as DIGP & Joint Commissioner (Traffic), Bengaluru. KM Shantha Raju (IPS:2012) has been appointed SP, Intelligence, after being transferred from SP, KGF.
Further changes include DR Siri Gowri (IPS:2012), who moves from DCP Traffic North Division to SP, SCRB, and Anoop A Shetty (IPS:2013), who shifts from SP, Cyber Crime, CID to DCP Traffic West Division. Suman D Pennekar (IPS:2013) is now DCP, Intelligence, after serving as SP, BMTC.
Shiva Prakash Devaraju (IPS:2014) has been transferred from DCP Traffic South Division to SP, Karnataka Lokayukta. Jayaprakash (IPS:2014) has taken charge as DCP Traffic North Division, replacing Siri Gowri.
Several other officers have been posted to key positions in crime, law and order, traffic, and intelligence branches in Bengaluru and across other districts.
