Mega Job Fair 2025-26 concludes successfully at DSCW; 200 students shortlisted
Ferozepur, April 2026: A National-level Mega Job Fair 2025-26 was successfully organized at Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur City, in collaboration with the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Ferozepur.
The Mega Job Fair concluded on a successful note, providing students with meaningful career opportunities and strengthening their professional competencies, while reaffirming the institution’s commitment to career-oriented education.
Prominent companies including Jio, PhonePe, SBI Cards, Hyundai, Amandeep Hospital, Broad Eye Hospital, Vardhman Yarns & Threads Limited, and Oren International participated in the event, offering students valuable exposure to real-time recruitment processes. The selection procedures included on-the-spot interviews, written tests, and group discussions.
Approximately 400 candidates participated in the job fair, out of which around 200 students were shortlisted for the next stage. The final selection results are expected to be announced shortly.
College Principal Dr. Sangeeta stated that the job fair was specifically organized for female candidates, with participation from students of B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BCA, B.Voc, as well as alumni. She emphasized that the primary objective of the initiative was to generate employment opportunities, bridge the gap between academia and industry, promote skill development, and create awareness about diverse career options.
Mr. Sanjeev Kakkar, Head of the Post Graduate Computer Science Department, informed that company representatives evaluated candidates based on their skills, communication abilities, and subject knowledge.
