Punjab Rural Poll Results: SAD sweeps Majri block; AAP secures one seat

Mohali (Punjab), December 17, 2025; The trends and results of the vote counting for the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in Mohali district have begun to take clearer shape. In the latest results from Majri Block, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has registered a strong performance, winning a majority of the declared zones, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to secure one seat.
The contest in Majri proved to be largely one-sided, with SAD candidates outperforming their rivals across several zones.
The results from Zone 3 (Mirzapur) were declared in favour of Bimla (SAD). In Zone 4 (Manakpur Sharif), Yadwinder Singh (SAD) emerged victorious, followed by another win for the party in Zone 5 (Majri), where Rulda Ram (SAD) secured the seat.
Continuing its dominance, the Shiromani Akali Dal also won Zone 6 (Jhande Majra) with Rupinder Kaur (SAD), Zone 7 (Brodi) with Gurpreet Singh (SAD), and Zone 8 (Neholka), where Jasveer Kaur (SAD) was declared the winner.
The Aam Aadmi Party opened its account in Majri with a victory in Zone 9 (Jingra Kalan), where Kulveer Kaur (AAP) emerged successful.
